Sports Injury clinic

The physical and psychological benefits of regular exercise and sports participation are immense. Participation in sport however does carry an inherent risk of injury. Getting professional, prompt and appropriate treatment for sporting injuries is an important part of returning to sport and exercise as quickly as possible.

Dr Biggs has treated a large number of professional athletes, returning them to elite function after injury.

Dr Biggs has a special interest and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of sporting injuries of the shoulder and knee.

We have a weekly sports injury clinic for acute injuries of the shoulder and knee.

By way of supporting the sporting community we offer the following:

If you have an injury of the knee or shoulder that:

  1. occurred at sport and
  2. if you are a non-professional athlete and a member of a sporting club and
  3. if you have private hospital insurance cover

You can have your surgery performed under the 'No gap' payment scheme of your private health fund.

In order to be seen acutely, please ring Rhana Thompson on: 02 9679 7088 or Ann-Marie on: 02 8893 4900

You will need a referral from either a GP or Sports Physician in order to claim the rebate from Medicare for your initial consultation with Dr Biggs.

We have all diagnostic modalities on site.

All necessary investigations (X-Rays and scans) can be performed once you have been seen.
